The project is based on a cross-disciplinary international collaboration with partners: Danish Institute against Torture (DIGNITY), Centre of Global Criminology, University of Copenhagen in Denmark, the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV) at the University of Colorado Boulder in the United States, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Indonesia in Depok City and Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Syiah Kuala in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. It is a North-South partnership that reaches across contexts, institutions and disciplines in the search for integrated, proven and lasting solutions.
We also partner with communities, schools, and agencies to create and sustain high-quality systems and structures to effectively prevent violence and promote positive youth development. We support effective implementation of evidence-based programs, practices, and policies.
DIGNITY
DIGNITY is an independent self-governing human rights organization founded in 1982 headquartered in Denmark. DIGNITY works politically, legally and in health care towards a world free of torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment. DIGNITY operates in +20 countries in Africa, Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Central America in close partnerships with human rights defenders, civil society organizations and government authorities if possible.

Center for Study and Prevention of Violence under University of Colorado (CSPV)
CSPV is a research center located at the University of Colorado Boulder and was founded in 1992 by internationally renowned violence researcher Dr. Delbert S. Elliott. CPSV aims to bridge the gap between research and practice to prevent the harms of violence and has successfully led over 75 comprehensive school and community initiatives in Colorado and across the nation.
Centre for Global Criminology under University of Copenhagen
The Centre for Global Criminology (CGC) under the University of Copenhagen studies crime, criminalization and other border and boundary crossing phenomena around the world. CGC is independent of any national or international policy- or law enforcement agencies. Founded in 1479, the University of Copenhagen is the oldest university and research institution in Denmark.

University of Indonesia (UI)
The history of the University of Indonesia (UI) begins in 1849. During the Dutch occupation, the college was named Dokter Djawa School Batavia. Because of this long milestone, UI is often named the first university in Indonesia. UI is among one of the educational institutions with the oldest history in Asia. UI has been a pioneer in innovation, research, and community service, especially in producing graduates who have a global perspective.

Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK)
Founded on September 2, 1961, Universitas Syiah Kuala is located in the Capital of Aceh Province, the most western Province in Indonesia. USK is also called “Jantung Hati Rakyat Aceh’, the heart of the Acehnese people, that has a strategic function in improving the quality of human resources at local, national and regional. USK has a vision is to become an innovative, independent, and leading university in the development of science, technology and humanities.
